Jendayi Polite, the principal behind J.Polite Events, has instinctively organized a variety of functions for family and friends from bridal parties and housewarmings to exotic vacations.  After graduating from Manhattanville College with a degree in International Business and Economics, Polite began her career as a manager in marketing research and later entered the fashion and apparel industry. It was during this period that she had the opportunity to aid in brand acquisition and the production of fashion shows. Polite gained the confidence to branch out on her own, marrying her personal passion for event design and management with her business acumen and educational background. Thus she established J.Polite Events in 2004.

J.Polite Events, a full service event management and production firm, is dedicated to designing unique celebrations for  non-profit, private,, and business accounts. Polite has built the company around her desire to produce stylish, diverse events that exceed expectations. She brings stellar design, research and organizational skills to the business which prides itself on laser focused attention to detail and unwavering integrity. As President, Polite is responsible for all business development, communications and consulting. Her role as Chief Event Manager enables her to discover distinctive event spaces, work with top-tier vendors and implement concepts that thrill her ever expanding client base. From high-end to modest fêtes each is a labor of passion and an authentic reflection of her clients’ desire, needs and imagination.

The Manhattan resident was born on the small tropical island of St. Lucia and raised on the Northern Coast of Venezuela. She believes that watching her mother entertain at exclusive resorts in St. Lucia ignited her initial passion for event design. Jendayi Polite, who speaks fluent Spanish and conversational French, is an active member of the International Special Events Society (ISES), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the Step Up Women’s Network (SUWN) and the Chair of the Figure Skating in Harlem Junior Board.
